The standard dimensions for a business card are 90mm x 55mm, which is the general size to fit into a wallet or card holder.

You don’t need to stick to this size, however. For a point of difference, try going square or even narrower.

What is the difference between offset and digital printing?
Offset: Basically your artwork is transferred onto an aluminium plate. The artwork is then transferred onto a rubber blanket and the rubber then rolls the image onto your paper. The ink isn’t transferred directly onto the paper, rather it goes through a process from computer to paper. This means the ink doesn’t move, and so, allows a high level of accuracy and crisp printing.

Digital: This method of printing does not use plates, which means it doesn’t go through a process like offset does. It transfers your artwork directly from computer to paper, using toner or liquid ink.

How long will it take my job to print?
This depends on what kind of job you are printing. The time will be determined by quantity, what kind of finishing there is (is there folding or cutting?) and whether there are any special embelishments (foling, diecut etc…).

Digital printing usually take less time than offset, but its best to ask your rep what timeframes to expect.
