Embellishments to finish off your artwork

Embellishments

Embellishments are a great way to enhance your design and print creation. There are so many options to choose from, and we can advise which embellishment might suit your artwork and your budget. If you would like to read a bit more about embellishments, read our blog here.

Diecutting

If you need a custom shape for your project, you will need a die-form. This basically means we are able to mass-produce shapes, so there is no need for scissors or a knife and it is consistent and professional for every item.

We have over 500 shapes to choose from, however, if you need something we don’t have – we can get it made for you! Our die-cutting machine is in-house, which allows for more control and a quicker turnaround of your job.

Foiling

Foils or metallics provide visual interest to your design and are an obvious choice when you want to show elegance without distracting from the overall message.
In addition to the classic gold and silver foils, you can also choose from a selection of metallic colours, including everything from green to red, and even black or pearl. These foils can be glossy or matt.

Embossing

Embossing is the process of creating raised or “carved” designs into paper. This process works well on thicker stock, and looks lovely on book covers and business cards.

Debossing

The reverse of embossing, debossing creates a “lowered” design by stamping it into the paper. This process, like embossing, is also suited to thicker stock.

Spot UV Varnish

Spot UV Varnishes are one of the most effective ways to stand out from a crowd. The UV is an ultraviolet light that sets a gloss varnish, which then creates the shine that catches the light. The spot refers to a portion or a “spot” the varnish covers. A blind spot vanish is always impressive, which means there is no ink printed behind the varnish, so the type or element can only be seen when the light reflects on it.
